Supervision & Consultation

At Resilient Roots Counseling & Consulting, I provide clinical supervision and consultation services for mental health professionals who are seeking to grow their skills, meet licensure requirements, or enhance their clinical practice.

Whether you're a new graduate working toward your license or an experienced clinician seeking specialized guidance, supervision and consultation offer essential support for your professional development.

Clinical supervision is a formal relationship required for licensure where I provide oversight, guidance, and mentorship to help pre-licensed clinicians develop their clinical skills and meet state requirements. Consultation is a collaborative relationship where licensed clinicians from anywhere seek specialized input on complex cases, ethical dilemmas, or professional challenges—since you hold your own independent license, I can work with clinicians nationwide on specific concerns and skill development.

Some benefits of supervision & professional consultation include:

  • Expert guidance on complex clinical cases and interventions

  • Professional development and skill enhancement opportunities

  • Ethical guidance for navigating difficult professional situations

  • Support in building confidence and clinical competence

  • Personalized feedback to improve therapeutic techniques

  • Networking and professional relationship building

  • Safe space to process challenging cases and emotions

  • Career advancement and licensure requirement fulfillment

  • Specialized knowledge in trauma, family systems, and evidence-based practices

  • Ongoing support for maintaining professional standards and growth

My Approach to Supervision & Consultation

Founder of Resilient Roots Counseling & Consulting

I've been providing supervision since January 2022, and I absolutely love supporting and mentoring new graduates and clinicians.

There's so much more to learn than what school taught us, and I'm passionate about helping you bridge that gap between academic knowledge and real-world practice.

As an Approved Clinical Supervisor, I provide supervision towards licensure hours for social workers in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Colorado. For consultation services, I work with licensed clinicians from anywhere in the country.

I want our supervision time to be collaborative, fun, and focused on what you need to grow as a clinician. I'm here to support you and, most importantly, cheer you on during this process! My approach emphasizes building your confidence while ensuring you have the knowledge and skills necessary for ethical, effective practice.

My areas of expertise include trauma-informed care, family systems work, and evidence-based interventions, with particular strength in helping supervisees learn to incorporate caregivers into sessions and take a systems approach to treatment.

I believe that supervision should be a positive, growth-oriented experience that prepares you not just to meet requirements, but to thrive in your clinical work.

Client Success Story

"Natalie was such a caring, intuitive, and relational supervisor. Not only did we connect well professionally, but I also felt like I could bring anything to her during our time together to learn and grow from and feel so comfortable through it all.

I was able to grow specifically in areas such as boundary setting, ethical dilemmas and how to approach ethics in practice, expand my knowledge of interventions and therapeutic resources, and much more. Natalie was able to challenge me in ways that I might not have stepped out in prior, and discuss my approaches/thoughts through thorough case reviews. She made it possible for me to feel comfortable sharing my concerns and really was able to help me determine next steps with some of my clients/families that were more challenging.

Natalie was helpful in supervision around the implementation of interventions such as TF-CBT, coping skills, and working with parents in sessions. I feel more confident in my ability to set boundaries in sessions, know when a child needs specific mental health therapy versus more behavior interventions, and how to best support families as a whole. If you want to be challenged, grow as a clinician, and want a personable supervisor, I highly recommend Natalie!"
